Gold Coast Nightclubs and Nightlife
Gold Coast nightclubs and nightlife are another drawcard to the area, providing venues to relax in, dance, have a drink with friends, or enjoy a delicious meal. With so many nightclubs to choose from, you might want to consider a club crawl or party tour. Of course, it depends on how much time you have for the Gold Coast nightlife. If you’ve got a week or two, you could spend each night at a different club and never hit them all. Remember to consider transportation. If you don’t have a designated driver, take a cab or pick some clubs within walking distance. Here’s a quick look at what might be in your area. Surfers Paradise Surfers paradise has numerous impressive clubs that feature the latest music and excellent dance floors and lounges; all open into the early morning. “Elsewhere” on Caville Avenue, has been recognized as offering the best musical lineup in Australia. In 2006 it was included in the list of the top seven Gold Coast nightclubs. Over the years, it has continued to evolve and recently unveiled a second, upper mezzanine.
“Sin City” is often referred to as the “hottest” in Gold Coast nightlife. Playing Top 40, dance and R&B on Orchid Avenue every night, the décor is modeled after the best clubs in Las Vegas. If you prefer a little gaming while you are dancing the night away, “Strike” offers bowling alleys and “Melba’s on the Park” offers billiards. Truly, Gold Coastnightlife has something for everyone. Southport and Broadwater There may be more Gold Coast nightclubs per kilometer in the Surfer’s Paradise area, but there is plenty to choose from in Southport and Broadwater, too, although the establishments may be a little less wild. Runaway Tavern, the Parkwood, Ashmore and the Waterfront are just a few of the local pubs and clubs. coolangatta and Currumbin Coolangatta or Currumbin may be “just right”. They are a little busier than Southport and Broadwater, but still not as active as Surfer’s Paradise, The Sands Hotel provides a “happening” gathering spot for after work or play.
The night club is separate from the hotel (presumably to keep the noise level down in the rooms), but within walking distance for guests. Consisting of two bars and a lounge, as well as the main nightclub, you may be able to get all of the Gold Coast nightlife you’re looking for in this single establishment. It’s just off the beach and minutes from the Coolangatta airport. Northern Gold Coast Nightclubs Looking for something near the golf course? The “Beenleigh RSL” club overlooks the 18 hole Mt Warrant Park Championship course. Many of the other pubs and taverns in the northern area are family owned and operated. Some offer a family-friendly environment, too, with a wide range of entertainment options, including Karaoke. The Hinterland If you think that there is no Gold Coast nightlife in the Hinterland area, you haven’t heard of the “Bearded Dragon Tavern”. Although the noise level cannot compete with what you find at “Sin City” or Elsewhere, it’s a great place to relax after a long day’s hike. The “Jimboomba Country Tavern” is another choice in the Hinterland. Both taverns have a cozy country atmosphere, decorated with memorabilia from the early days. The ones that you have read about here are only a handful of the many Gold Coast nightclubs. Enjoy your stay.
