Jan 7 - 19 Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions Racing Carnival

Magic Millions is an innovative bloodstock auction house where graduates are the only horses eligible to compete in closed races worth over $5million.

At least one yearling from a Magic Millions Catalogue each year is guaranteed to win a $1 million race, maybe even two!

The event is held Over 17 days on the Gold Coast in January and attracts the most powerful buyers from all over the globe as well as leading Australian trainers. It is held at the Gold Coast Turf Club.

Jan 10 - 11 xxxx Gold Beach Cricket

The 2009 XXXX GOLD Beach Cricket event site is located at the northern end of Coolangatta Beach, nearest to Kirra Point.

Most Gold Coast events create a party atmosphere where you’re invited to have fun. However, in this event your required to contribute by adding to the performance.

Feb 5 - 8 ANZ ladies Master (Golf Tournament)

Australian Katherine Hull cruised to a five stroke victory at the ANZ Ladies Masters held at the RACV Royal Pines Resort in Australia on Sunday and confirmed her status as one of her country’s fastest rising sporting stars.

Hull, who began the final round with a three stroke lead over compatriot Tamie Durdin,recorded a winning total of 16 under pa, a remarkable 272.

May 21 - 24 Sanctuary Cove Boat Show

Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is the largest on-water display in the Asia Pacific region.

The 21st Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show boosted confidence to the recreational marine industry with positive sales and strong sales leads from around the world.

Wintersun 2009 starts on Friday 29th May and ends with the huge Best of Wintersun Concert on Monday 8th June. Wintersun is Australia's leading annual retro reminiscence Festival One of the top Gold Coast events.

Featuring almost 1500 Hot Rods, Custom and Classic Cars, more than 100 bands and performers, dancing, movies, competitions and lots more.

The festival is held in the border coastal towns of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads on the New South Wales & Queensland border.

July 5 Gold Coast Airport Marathon

Embrace the next step towards the 2010 Gold Coast Airport Marathon being held in one of the most desirable holiday destinations in the world.

Staged annually on the first Sunday in July, the 32nd Gold Coast Airport Marathon is set to motivate and challenge more than 23,000 people of all ages and abilities.

There will be a Marathon, a Half Marathon, a 10km Run, a 5km Challenge and Junior Dash races over 4km and 2.25km for the kids.

Runners crave the magnificent running conditions on the Gold Coast in winter, as well as the flat, fast and beautiful course that runs alongside the Pacific Ocean surf beaches and broadwater. A fight in a crowd is like a magnet, it draws everyone in to watch, then it turns into a cyclone and spills all over the place ... not good!

You are about ten times more likely to get king hit on a Schoolies Gold Coast holiday than any other holiday destination.

Be careful of glass bottles flying through the air, and if you're thinking of throwing one we will let you in on a little secret ... not only the cops but the entire crowd will turn on you - it's suicidal - forget it!

The most dangerous nights at Gold Coast Schoolies are the first Saturday and the Friday and Saturday at the end of the first week.
